State Service Amendment Regulations 2016

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the State Service Act 2000 .

1.   Short title

These regulations may be cited as the State Service Amendment Regulations 2016 .

2.   Commencement

These regulations take effect on the day on which their making is notified in the Gazette.

3.   Principal Regulations

In these regulations, the State Service Regulations 2011 are referred to as the Principal Regulations.

4.    Schedule 1 amended (Offices prescribed for purposes of section 31(1)(b) of the Act)

Schedule 1 to the Principal Regulations is amended by inserting after item 3 the following item:

3A. 

Crown Solicitor

Displayed and numbered in accordance with the Rules Publication Act 1953.

Notified in the Gazette on 16 November 2016

These regulations are administered in the Department of Premier and Cabinet.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the regulation)

These regulations amend the State Service Regulations 2011 by providing that Crown Solicitor is a prescribed office for the purposes of section 31(1)(b) of the State Service Act 2000 .
