I make the following order under section 13(5) of the Threatened Species Protection Act 1995 .

1.   Short title

This order may be cited as the Threatened Species Protection Order 2016 .

2.   Commencement

This order takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette.

3.   Principal Act

In this order, the Threatened Species Protection Act 1995 is referred to as the Principal Act.

4.    Schedule 3 amended (Taxa of native flora and fauna which are endangered)

This order amends certain Schedules of the Threatened Species Protection Act 1995 by –
(a) adding certain species to, and omitting certain species from, the Schedules of endangered, vulnerable and rare flora and fauna; and
(b) updating certain taxonomic, authority and common name references in those Schedules.
