State Service (Agencies and Heads of Agencies) Order 2016

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council , make the following order under section 12(1) of the State Service Act 2000 .

1.   Short title

This order may be cited as the State Service (Agencies and Heads of Agencies) Order 2016 .

2.   Commencement

This order takes effect on 4 April 2016.

3.   Principal Act

In this order, the State Service Act 2000 is referred to as the Principal Act.

4.    Schedule 1 amended (Agencies)

Schedule 1 to the Principal Act is amended by omitting

Department of Police and Emergency Management

Secretary

from Part 1 and substituting:

Department of Police, Fire and Emergency Management

Secretary

Displayed and numbered in accordance with the Rules Publication Act 1953.

Notified in the Gazette on 4 April 2016

This order is administered in the Department of Premier and Cabinet.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the order)

This order amends Schedule 1 to the State Service Act 2000 consequential on the change of name of the Department of Police and Emergency Management to the Department of Police, Fire and Emergency Management.
