Nature Conservation (Open Seasons) Amendment Order 2015
I make the following order under section 30(1) of the Nature Conservation Act 2002 .

This order may be cited as the Nature Conservation (Open Seasons) Amendment Order 2015 .
This order takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette.
In this order, the Nature Conservation (Open Seasons) Order 2004 is referred to as the Principal Order.
4. Clause 5 amended (Open season for short-tailed shearwater (muttonbird): muttonbird licences)
Clause 5 of the Principal Order is amended by inserting after subclause (2) the following subclause:(3) Despite subclause (2) , juvenile muttonbirds may not be taken from the rookeries of Hannants Bight, Pilot Bay and Trumpeter Rock at Cape Sorell during the open season that starts at 8:00 a.m. on the Saturday nearest 1 April 2015 (namely 4 April 2015).
5. Schedule 1 amended (Muttonbird rookeries)
Schedule 1 to the Principal Order is amended as follows:(a) by omitting items 26 and 27 ;(b) by omitting item 29 .

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the order)
This order amends the Nature Conservation (Open Seasons) Order 2004 by (a) specifying that the muttonbird rookeries at Cape Sorell are not part of the 2015 open season for muttonbird; and(b) removing Cape Farewell, Cape Wickham and Councillor Island in the King Island Group from the rookeries where juvenile muttonbird may be taken during an open season.
