Racing (Bookmaker Betting) Amendment Regulations 2013
I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Racing Regulation Act 2004 .

These regulations may be cited as the Racing (Bookmaker Betting) Amendment Regulations 2013 .
These regulations take effect on the day on which the Racing Regulation Amendment (Bookmaker Betting) Act 2013 commences.
In these regulations, the Racing (Bookmaker Betting) Regulations 2004 are referred to as the Principal Regulations.
4. Regulation 5 amended (Obligations of bookmakers regarding offer and display of odds)
Regulation 5(1) of the Principal Regulations is amended as follows:(a) by omitting from paragraph (b) "directs." and substituting "directs; and";(b) by inserting the following paragraph after paragraph (b) :(c) if offering payment of a bet based on totalizator odds, display a sign to that effect in a manner, and for such period of time before the relevant race, as the Director approves or directs.
5. Regulation 8 rescinded
Regulation 8 of the Principal Regulations is rescinded.

These regulations amend the Racing (Bookmaker Betting) Regulations 2004 by imposing an additional obligation on a bookmaker who is fielding on a race course and by rescinding the provision relating to the power of the Director of Racing to obtain particulars of odds.
