I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Traffic Act 1925 .

1.   Short title

These regulations may be cited as the Traffic (Compliance and Enforcement) Amendment Regulations 2013 .

2.   Commencement

These regulations take effect on the day on which their making is notified in the Gazette.

3.   Principal Regulations

In these regulations, the Traffic (Compliance and Enforcement) Regulations 2011 are referred to as the Principal Regulations.

4.    Schedule 1 amended (Traffic infringement notice offences)

Schedule 1 to the Principal Regulations is amended as follows:
(a) by omitting the definitions of PTA and PTR from clause 1 of Part 1 and substituting the following definitions:
PTSA means the Passenger Transport Services Act 2011 ;
PTSR means the Passenger Transport Services Regulations 2013 ;
RHVIR means the Restricted Hire Vehicle Industry Regulations 2013 ;

These regulations amend the Traffic (Compliance and Enforcement) Regulations 2011 to take into account amendments made consequent upon the enactment of the Passenger Transport Services Act 2011 and the Taxi and Luxury Hire Car Industries Amendment Act 2011 .
