Inland Fisheries (Seasons and Waters) Amendment Order 2013

I make the following order under section 197 of the Inland Fisheries Act 1995 .

1.   Short title

This order may be cited as the Inland Fisheries (Seasons and Waters) Amendment Order 2013 .

2.   Commencement

This order takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette.

3.   Principal Order

In this order, the Inland Fisheries (Seasons and Waters) Order 1996 is referred to as the Principal Order.

4.    Clause 4 amended (Taking of acclimatised fish)

Clause 4(1)(f) of the Principal Order is amended by inserting after subparagraph (ix) the following subparagraph:
(ixa) Lake King William; and

5.    Clause 8 amended (Prohibition on taking fish)

Clause 8 of the Principal Order is amended as follows:
(a) by omitting "any fish in any of the following waters" and substituting "fish at any of the following places";
(b) by inserting the following paragraph after paragraph (ba) :
(bb) the dam wall and associated infrastructure at Craigbourne Dam;

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the order)

This order amends the Inland Fisheries (Seasons and Waters) Order 1996 by –
(a) opening Lake King William to the taking of acclimatised fish all year round; and
(b) prohibiting the taking of fish at all times at the dam wall and associated infrastructure at Craigbourne Dam.
