Food Amendment Regulations 2012
I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Food Act 2003 .

These regulations may be cited as the Food Amendment Regulations 2012 .
These regulations take effect on the day on which their making is notified in the Gazette.
In these regulations, the Food Regulations 2012 are referred to as the Principal Regulations.
4. Regulation 3 amended (Interpretation)
Regulation 3 of the Principal Regulations is amended as follows:(a) by inserting the following definition after the definition of relevant child care centre :Standard 2.2.2 means the Food Product Standard for Egg and Egg Products contained in chapter 2.2.2 of the Food Standards Code;(b) by omitting "Code." from the definition of Standard 3.3.1 and substituting "Code;";(c) by inserting the following definition after the definition of Standard 3.3.1 :Standard 4.2.5 means the Primary Production and Processing Standard for Eggs and Egg Products contained in chapter 4.2.5 of the Food Standards Code.
5. Regulation 4 substituted
Regulation 4 of the Principal Regulations is rescinded and the following regulation is substituted:4. Incorporation of Food Standards Code
(1) Subject to subregulations (2) and (3) , the Food Standards Code, as amended from time to time, is incorporated in these regulations.(2) The following clauses of the Food Standards Code do not apply for the period beginning on and including 26 November 2012 and ending at the end of 26 November 2013:(a) clause 3 of Standard 2.2.2;(b) clauses 10 and 20 of Standard 4.2.5.(3) Standard 3.3.1 does not apply to a relevant child care centre.

These regulations amend the Food Regulations 2012 by temporarily excluding the application of certain provisions of the Food Standards Code that require eggs to be individually stamped with producers' unique identifications.
