Nature Conservation (Open Seasons) Amendment Order 2012
I make the following order under section 30(1) of the Nature Conservation Act 2002 .

This order may be cited as the Nature Conservation (Open Seasons) Amendment Order 2012 .
This order takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette.
In this order, the Nature Conservation (Open Seasons) Order 2004 is referred to as the Principal Order.
4. Clause 4 substituted
Clause 4 of the Principal Order is revoked and the following clause is substituted:(1) In this clause wild duck means any bird of a species of the family Anatidae that is a form of partly protected wildlife.(2) The open season for wild duck in each year is the period (a) starting on the Saturday nearest 8 March of the year; and(b) ending on the Sunday nearest 8 June of the year, except where that Sunday immediately precedes the second Monday in June, in which case the period ends on the second Monday in June.
5. Schedule 1 amended (Muttonbird rookeries)
Schedule 1 to the Principal Order is amended by inserting in column 2 of item 18 "Point" after "Ranger".

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the order)
This order amends the Nature Conservation (Open Seasons) Order 2004 by (a) removing the provisions relating to an open season for wild duck on King Island, with the result that the open season for wild duck on King Island is the same as the open season, prescribed in the order, for wild duck elsewhere in Tasmania; and(b) effecting minor statute law revision.
