Taxi Industry Amendment (Fees) Regulations 2011

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Taxi and Luxury Hire Car Industries Act 2008 .

1.   Short title

These regulations may be cited as the Taxi Industry Amendment (Fees) Regulations 2011 .

2.   Commencement

These regulations take effect on 1 April 2012.

3.   Principal Regulations

In these regulations, the Taxi Industry Regulations 2008 are referred to as the Principal Regulations.

4.    Schedule 5 amended (Fees)

Schedule 5 to the Principal Regulations is amended as follows:
(a) by omitting items 1 , 2 and 3 from Part 1 and substituting the following:

Annual administration fee for perpetual taxi licence relating to the Hobart and Launceston taxi areas

Annual administration fee for perpetual taxi licence relating to the Devonport, Burnie, Ulverstone, George Town, Perth, West Tamar and New Norfolk taxi areas

Annual administration fee for perpetual taxi licence relating to any other taxi area

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the regulation)

These regulations amend the Taxi Industry Regulations 2008 by reducing the annual administration fee that is payable in respect of a taxi licence under the Taxi and Luxury Hire Car Industries Act 2008 .
