Forest Practices Amendment Regulations 2011

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council and on the recommendation of the Forest Practices Authority, make the following regulations under the Forest Practices Act 1985 .

1.   Short title

These regulations may be cited as the Forest Practices Amendment Regulations 2011 .

2.   Commencement

These regulations take effect on the seventh day after the day on which their making is notified in the Gazette.

3.   Principal Regulations

In these regulations, the Forest Practices Regulations 2007 are referred to as the Principal Regulations.

4.    Schedule 1 amended (Fees)

Schedule 1 to the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting item 2 from Part 2 and substituting:

Issue of tree fern tag under section 18A(b) of the Act –

 
 

(a) for tree fern stem greater than 30cm in length

1 fee unit

 

(b) for tree fern stem 30cm or less in length

0.5 fee unit

These regulations are administered by the Forest Practices Authority.

(This note is not part of the regulation)

These regulations amend the Forest Practices Regulations 2007 by decreasing the fee payable under section 18A(b) of the Forest Practices Act 1985 for the issue of a tree fern tag.
