Annulled Convictions Order 2009
I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following order under section 17(2) of the Annulled Convictions Act 2003 .

This order may be cited as the Annulled Convictions Order 2009 .
This order takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette.
In this order, the Annulled Convictions Act 2003 is referred to as the Principal Act.
4. Schedule 1 amended (Non-exempt applications)
Schedule 1 to the Principal Act is amended by inserting after item 10 in Part 6 the following items:11. Child-related employment, within the meaning of Part 7 of the Commission for Children and Young People Act 1998 of New South Wales, in that State.12. Child-related work, within the meaning of the Working with Children Act 2005 of Victoria, in that State.13. Regulated employment to which Part 6 of the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian Act 2000 of Queensland applies, in that State.14. Child-related employment, or child-related business, within the meaning of the Working with Children (Criminal Record Checking) Act 2004 of Western Australia, in that State.15. Prescribed positions, within the meaning of section 8B of the Children's Protection Act 1993 of South Australia, in that State.16. Child-related employment, within the meaning of the Care and Protection of Children Act of the Northern Territory, in that Territory.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This order amends the Annulled Convictions Act 2003 so as to exempt applications for certain types of child-related work from a provision of that Act specifying the effect of an annulled conviction.
