Retirement Benefits Amendment Regulations 2009
I, the Lieutenant-Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Retirement Benefits Act 1993 .

These regulations may be cited as the Retirement Benefits Amendment Regulations 2009 .
These regulations are taken to have taken effect on 1 January 2009.
In these regulations, the Retirement Benefits Regulations 2005 are referred to as the Principal Regulations.
4. Regulation 83 amended (Duration of pensions)
Regulation 83(4) of the Principal Regulations is amended as follows:(a) by omitting "college or university," and substituting "college, university or other educational or training institution,";(b) by omitting from paragraph (b) "college or university –" and substituting "college, university or other educational or training institution –".

These regulations amend the Retirement Benefits Regulations 2005 consequent on the enactment of the Education and Training (Miscellaneous and Consequential Amendments) Act 2008 , the Education and Training (Tasmanian Academy) Act 2008 and the Education and Training (Tasmanian Polytechnic) Act 2008 .
