Poisons List Amendment Order (No. 2) 2009
I make the following order under section 15(1) of the Poisons Act 1971 .

This order may be cited as the Poisons List Amendment Order (No. 2) 2009 .
This order takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette.
In this order, the Poisons List Order 2001 is referred to as the Principal Order.
4. Clause 4 amended (Substances specified in Poisons List)
Clause 4(1) of the Principal Order is amended as follows:(a) by omitting paragraph (e) and substituting the following paragraphs:(e) any stereoisomer of the substance and any salt of the stereoisomer; and(ea) any recombinant form of the substance; and(b) by omitting from paragraph (f) "or of any other substance included in paragraph (a) , (b) , (c) , (d) or (e) ";(c) by omitting from paragraph (i) "List." and substituting "List; or";(d) by inserting the following paragraph after paragraph (i) :(k) any substance present as an impurity in a pesticide, at a concentration at or below the maximum content for that substance, specified for the pesticide in the current version of the Minimum Compositional Standards (MCS) for Active Constituents, published by the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority, as amended or substituted from time to time.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This order amends the Poisons List Order 2001 by incorporating certain changes recommended by the National Drugs and Poisons Schedule Committee in the Standard for the Uniform Scheduling of Drugs and Poisons No. 21, Amendment No. 2, and the Standard for the Uniform Scheduling of Drugs and Poisons No. 22, Amendment No. 3.
