Fire Service (Finance) Amendment Regulations 2009

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council and on the recommendation of the State Fire Commission, make the following regulations under the Fire Service Act 1979 .

1.   Short title

These regulations may be cited as the Fire Service (Finance) Amendment Regulations 2009 .

2.   Commencement

These regulations take effect on 1 June 2009.

3.   Principal Regulations

In these regulations, the Fire Service (Finance) Regulations 2006 are referred to as the Principal Regulations.

4.    Regulation 5A amended (Prescribed amounts under section 79A(2)(b) )

Regulation 5A of the Principal Regulations is amended as follows:
(a) by omitting "1 July 2008" and substituting "1 July 2009";
(b) by omitting from paragraph (a) "$2 131" and substituting "$2 206";
(c) by omitting from paragraph (b) "$2 270" and substituting "$2 360";
(d) by omitting from paragraph (c) "$7 522" and substituting "$8 017";
(e) by omitting from paragraph (d) "$9 248" and substituting "$10 041".

EXPLANATORY NOTE

These regulations amend the Fire Service (Finance) Regulations 2006 by prescribing, for the financial year commencing on 1 July 2009, the minimum assessed annual values of land for the purposes of section 79A(2)(b) of the Fire Service Act 1979 .
