Sentencing Amendment Regulations 2009
I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Sentencing Act 1997

These regulations may be cited as the Sentencing Amendment Regulations 2009 .
These regulations take effect on the day on which their making is notified in the Gazette.
In these regulations, the Sentencing Regulations 2008 are referred to as the Principal Regulations.
4. Regulation 4 amended (Extension of Part 3A of Act)
Regulation 4 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting "30 June 2009" and substituting "30 June 2014".

These regulations amend the Sentencing Regulations 2008 by prescribing 30 June 2014 as the cut-off date for the making of drug treatment orders under Part 3A of the Sentencing Act 1997 .
