Threatened Species Protection Order 2009
I make the following order under section 13(5) of the Threatened Species Protection Act 1995 .

This order may be cited as the Threatened Species Protection Order 2009 .
This order takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette.
In this order, the Threatened Species Protection Act 1995 is referred to as the Principal Act.
4. Schedule 3 amended (Taxa of native flora and fauna which are endangered)
Schedule 3 to the Principal Act is amended as follows:(a) by inserting after item 11 in Subdivision 1 of Division 2 of Part 1 the following:

(b) by inserting after item 34 in Subdivision 1 of Division 2 of Part 1 the following:

(c) by omitting item 2 from Subdivision 2 of Division 2 of Part 1 ;(d) by inserting after item 23 in Subdivision 2 of Division 2 of Part 1 the following:

5. Schedule 4 amended (Taxa of native flora and fauna which are vulnerable)
Division 1 of Part 2 of Schedule 4 to the Principal Act is amended as follows:(a) by omitting item 11 ;(b) by inserting after item 44 the following:

6. Schedule 5 amended (Taxa of native flora and fauna which are rare)
Division 1 of Part 2 of Schedule 5 to the Principal Act is amended as follows:(a) by inserting after item 45 the following:

(b) by omitting item 133 .

This order amends the Threatened Species Protection Act 1995 by –(a) adding certain species to, and omitting certain species from, the Schedules of endangered, vulnerable and rare flora and fauna; and(b) updating a common name reference in the Schedule of endangered flora and fauna.
