Legal Profession Amendment Regulations 2008
I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Legal Profession Act 2007 .

These regulations may be cited as the Legal Profession Amendment Regulations 2008 .
These regulations take effect immediately after the Legal Profession Regulations 2008 take effect.
In these regulations, the Legal Profession Regulations 2008 are referred to as the Principal Regulations.
4. Part 7 inserted
After regulation 68 of the Principal Regulations , the following Part is inserted:PART 7 - Miscellaneous(1) In this regulation –current rules means the following rules made under the Legal Profession Act 1993 :(a) the Legal Profession (Board of Legal Education) Rules 1994 ;(b) the Legal Profession (Disciplinary Tribunal) Rules 1995 .(2) Each of the current rules is taken to remain in force under the Act until 30 June 2010, unless sooner rescinded.

These regulations amend the Legal Profession Regulations 2008 by providing that, for a limited time, certain rules made under the Legal Profession Act 1993 remain in force as rules under and for the Legal Profession Act 2007 .
