Liquor Licensing (Infringement Notices) Regulations 2008

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Liquor Licensing Act 1990 .

1.   Short title

These regulations may be cited as the Liquor Licensing (Infringement Notices) Regulations 2008 .

2.   Commencement

These regulations take effect on the day on which their making is notified in the Gazette.

3.   Interpretation

In these regulations –
Act means the Liquor Licensing Act 1990 .

4.   Infringement notice offences and penalties

For the purposes of section 223 of the Act –
(a) an offence under a section of the Act specified in Schedule 1 is a prescribed offence; and
(b) the penalty specified in Schedule 1 in respect of that offence is the prescribed penalty for that offence.

(This note is not part of the regulation)

These regulations prescribe –
(a) offences under the Liquor Licensing Act 1990 as offences for which infringement notices may be issued; and
(b) the penalties payable for those infringement notice offences.
