Pollution of Waters by Oil and Noxious Substances Amendment Regulations 2008
I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Pollution of Waters by Oil and Noxious Substances Act 1987 .

These regulations may be cited as the Pollution of Waters by Oil and Noxious Substances Amendment Regulations 2008 .
These regulations take effect on 1 July 2008.
In these regulations, the Pollution of Waters by Oil and Noxious Substances Regulations 2007 are referred to as the Principal Regulations.
4. Regulation 4 amended (Prescribed office for the purposes of section 3(2)(b) of Act)
Regulation 4(a) of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting "Director of Environmental Management" and substituting "Director, Environment Protection Authority".

These regulations are administered in the Department of Environment, Parks, Heritage and the Arts.
EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the regulation)
These regulations amend the Pollution of Waters by Oil and Noxious Substances Regulations 2007 consequent on the enactment of the Environmental Management and Pollution Control Amendment (Environment Protection Authority) Act 2007 by replacing a reference to the office of Director of Environmental Management with a reference to the office of Director, Environment Protection Authority.
