Government Prices Oversight Amendment Regulations 2007
I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Government Prices Oversight Act 1995 .

These regulations may be cited as the Government Prices Oversight Amendment Regulations 2007 .
These regulations take effect on 1 August 2007.
In these regulations, the Government Prices Oversight Regulations 1998 are referred to as the Principal Regulations.
4. Regulation 3 substituted
Regulation 3 of the Principal Regulations is rescinded and the following regulation is substituted:In these regulations –Act means the Government Prices Oversight Act 1995 ;GST has the same meaning as in the A New Tax System (Goods and Services Tax) Act 1999 of the Commonwealth.
Parts 2 and 3 of the Principal Regulations are rescinded.
6. Regulations 23 and 24 substituted
Regulations 23 and 24 of the Principal Regulations are rescinded and the following regulation is substituted:The fee payable under section 39G(c) of the Act in respect of the making of a complaint is 110 fee units, inclusive of GST.
7. Regulation 25 amended (Annual report)
Regulation 25 of the Principal Regulations is amended as follows:(a) by omitting from paragraph (a) "principles" and substituting "national competition policy competitive neutrality principles";(b) by inserting in paragraph (a) "made under Part 4B of the Act" after "complaint";(c) by omitting from paragraph (a) "an investigation" and substituting "a pricing policy investigation";(d) by omitting from paragraph (b) "principles" and substituting "national competition policy competitive neutrality principles".

These regulations amend the Government Prices Oversight Regulations 1998 by –(a) removing provisions relating to inquiries and investigations of complaints consequent on the enactment of the Government Prices Oversight Amendment Act 2007 which enacted provisions similar to those removed; and(b) making related amendments.
