Nature Conservation (Open Seasons) Amendment Order 2006
I make the following order under section 30(1) of the Nature Conservation Act 2002 .

This order may be cited as the Nature Conservation (Open Seasons) Amendment Order 2006 .
This order takes effect on 1 January 2007.
In this order, the Nature Conservation (Open Seasons) Order 2004 is referred to as the Principal Order.
4. Clause 4 amended (Open season for wild duck)
Clause 4 of the Principal Order is amended by omitting subclause (4) .
5. Clause 5 amended (Open season for short-tailed shearwater (muttonbird): muttonbird licences)
Clause 5(1) of the Principal Order is amended by omitting "last Saturday in March of the year and ending on the second Sunday in April of the year" and substituting "Saturday nearest 1 April of the year and ending on the third Sunday following that day".
6. Clause 10 amended (Open season for wallaby)
Clause 10 of the Principal Order is amended by omitting subclauses (2) and (3) and substituting the following subclause:(2) The open season for wallaby in each year is the period starting on the Monday immediately before the Saturday nearest 1 March of the year and ending on the Sunday immediately before the Saturday nearest 1 March of the subsequent year.
