Poisons List Amendment Order (No. 5) 2006
I make the following order under section 15(1) of the Poisons Act 1971 .

This order may be cited as the Poisons List Amendment Order (No. 5) 2006 .
This order takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette.
In this order, the Poisons List Order 2001 is referred to as the Principal Order.
4. Schedule 2 amended (Medicinal Poisons)
Schedule 2 to the Principal Order is amended as follows:(a) by omitting item 2027 and substituting the following:
2027.
Ciclopirox in preparations for dermal use and for application to the nails containing 2% or less of ciclopirox.
(b) by omitting item 2030 and substituting the following:
2030.
Clotrimazole for human use in dermal preparations and for application to the nails, except in preparations for the treatment of tinea pedis.
(c) by omitting item 2042 ;(d) by omitting item 2068 and substituting the following:
2068.
Ibuprofen in preparations for oral use when labelled with a recommended daily dose of 1 200mg or less of ibuprofen
(a) in liquid preparations when sold in the manufacturer's original pack containing 4g or less of ibuprofen; or
(b) in divided preparations, each containing 200mg or less of ibuprofen, in packs of not more than 100 dosage units except when
(i) present as the only therapeutically active constituent other than an effervescent agent; and
(ii) packed in blister or strip-packaging or in a container with a child-resistant closure; and
(iii) in a primary pack of not more than 25 dosage units; and
(iv) not labelled for the treatment of children 6 years of age or less; and
(v) compliant with the Required Advisory Statements for Medicine Labels.
(e) by omitting item 2120 and substituting the following:
2120.
Promethazine in oral preparations
(a) in a primary pack containing 10 dosage units or less, for the prevention or treatment of motion sickness; or
(b) when combined with one or more other therapeutically active substances when
(i) at least one of the other therapeutically active substances is a sympathomimetic decongestant; or
(ii) in a day-night pack containing promethazine in the bed-time dose
except in preparations for the treatment of children under 2 years of age.
5. Schedule 3 amended (Potent Substances)
Schedule 3 to the Principal Order is amended by omitting item 3012 and substituting:

Ciclopirox in preparations for dermal use and for application to the nails, except when included in Schedule 2 .
6. Schedule 4 amended (Restricted Substances)
Schedule 4 to the Principal Order is amended as follows:(a) by inserting after item 40010 the following:
40010M.
Acetyl isovaleryltylosin.
(b) by inserting after item 40137 the following:
40137M.
Azacitidine.
(c) by omitting item 40145 and substituting the following:
40145.
Azelastine except when included in Schedule 2 or 3 .
(d) by inserting after paragraph (e) in item 40207 the following:
40207E.
Bortezomib.
(e) by omitting item 41365 and substituting the following:
41365.
Schoenocaulon officinale (sabadilla) except in preparations containing 10mg/kg or 10mg/L or less of total alkaloids of schoenocaulon officinale.
(f) by inserting after item 41593 the following:
41593M.
Tulathromycin.
7. Schedule 5 amended (Domestic Poisons)
Schedule 5 to the Principal Order is amended by inserting after item 5169 the following:

Indoxacarb (includes the R and S enantiomers) in preparations containing 1% or less of indoxacarb when packed in child-resistant packaging.
8. Schedule 6 amended (Agricultural and Industrial Poisons)
Schedule 6 to the Principal Order is amended as follows:(a) by omitting item 6002M and substituting the following:
6002M.
Acetamiprid except in preparations containing 1% or less of acetamiprid.
(b) by omitting item 6229 and substituting the following:
6229.
Indoxacarb (includes the R and S enantiomers) except when included in Schedule 5 .
(c) by inserting after item 6347 the following:
6347M.
Prosulfocarb.
(d) by inserting after paragraph (b) in item 6381 the following:
6381M.
Sulfuryl fluoride.
