Inland Fisheries (Recreational Fishing) Amendment Regulations 2006
I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Inland Fisheries Act 1995 .

These regulations may be cited as the Inland Fisheries (Recreational Fishing) Amendment Regulations 2006 .
These regulations take effect on the day on which their making is notified in the Gazette.
In these regulations, the Inland Fisheries (Recreational Fishing) Regulations 1999 are referred to as the Principal Regulations.
4. Regulation 15 amended (Minimum sizes of fish)
Regulation 15 of the Principal Regulations is amended as follows:(a) by omitting paragraph (j) from subregulation (1) ;(b) by inserting the following paragraph after paragraph (l) in subregulation (2B) :(la) Penstock Lagoon;
5. Regulation 16 amended (Bag limits)
Regulation 16 of the Principal Regulations is amended by inserting after subregulation (3) the following subregulation:(3A) A person, on any one day in the following waters, must not take more or continue to take or fish for more than the number of Atlantic salmon specified adjacent to those waters:(a) Bradys Lake 5(b) Brushy Lagoon 5(c) Craigbourne Dam 5(d) Lake Barrington 5(e) Lake Binney 5(f) Lake Meadowbank 5(g) South Esk River 5(h) Tungatinah 5Penalty: Fine of not less than 1 penalty unit and not more than 5 penalty units and a special penalty of 1 penalty unit for each fish.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the regulation)
These regulations amend the Inland Fisheries (Recreational Fishing) Regulations 1999 by (a) omitting a provision providing for the limited taking of brown trout from Penstock Lagoon; and(b) prescribing a limit on the taking of salmon from Penstock Lagoon; and(c) prescribing a bag limit of 5 on the taking of Atlantic salmon from certain waters.
