Administrative Arrangements Amendment Order (No. 2) 2006

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following order under section 4(1) of the Administrative Arrangements Act 1990 .

1.   Short title

This order may be cited as the Administrative Arrangements Amendment Order (No. 2) 2006 .

2.   Commencement

This order takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette.

3.   Interpretation

The Acts Interpretation Act 1931 applies to the interpretation of this order as if this order were by-laws.

4.   Principal Order

In this order, the Administrative Arrangements Order 2006 is referred to as the Principal Order.

5.    Schedule 1 amended (Administration of Departments and Enactments)

Schedule 1 to the Principal Order is amended as follows:
(a) by omitting

Long Service Leave Act 1997

from Part 1 and substituting the following item:

Long Service Leave Act 1976

(b) by inserting in Part 2 after

Mining (Strategic Prospectivity Zones) Act 1993

the following item:

Petroleum (Submerged Lands) Act 1982

(c) by omitting

FOREST PRACTICES BOARD

from Part 2 and substituting the following item:

FOREST PRACTICES AUTHORITY

(d) by omitting the following item

Petroleum (Submerged Lands) Act 1982

from Part 4 ;
(e) by omitting

Motor Accidents (Liability and Compensation) Act 1973

from Part 6 and substituting the following item:

Motor Accidents (Liabilities and Compensation) Act 1973

Displayed and numbered in accordance with the Rules Publication Act 1953.

Notified in the Gazette on 7 June 2006

This order is administered in the Department of Premier and Cabinet.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the order)

This order amends the Administrative Arrangements Order 2006 by transferring the administration of the Petroleum (Submerged Lands) Act 1982 from the Minister for Energy to the Minister for Economic Development and Resources and making some other minor amendments.
