Environmental Management and Pollution Control (Infringement Notices) Amendment Regulations 2005

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Environmental Management and Pollution Control Act 1994 .

1.   Short title

These regulations may be cited as the Environmental Management and Pollution Control (Infringement Notices) Amendment Regulations 2005 .

2.   Commencement

These regulations take effect on the day on which their making is notified in the Gazette.

3.   Principal Regulations

In these regulations, the Environmental Management and Pollution Control (Infringement Notices) Regulations 1996 are referred to as the Principal Regulations.

4.    Schedule 2 amended (Prescribed offences)

Clause 5 of Part 2 of Schedule 2 to the Principal Regulations is amended as follows:

(a) by omitting the following item

(b) by omitting

from the table and substituting the following items:

These regulations amend the Environmental Management and Pollution Control (Infringement Notices) Regulations 1996 by updating and revising the list of offences under the Environmental Management and Pollution Control (Waste Management) Regulations 2000 in respect of which an infringement notice may be issued.
