Vehicle and Traffic (Vehicle Operations) (Exemption) Notice 2004
The Transport Commission makes the following notice under regulation 45 of the Vehicle and Traffic (Vehicle Operations) Regulations 2001 .
This notice may be cited as the Vehicle and Traffic (Vehicle Operations) (Exemption) Notice 2004 .
This notice takes effect on 31 January 2005.
(1) In this notice exempt route means that section of Mud Walls Secondary Road between the following junctions:(a) the junction of Mud Walls Secondary Road and Tea Tree Secondary Road;(b) the junction of Mud Walls Secondary Road and the Midland Highway.(2) The Acts Interpretation Act 1931 applies to the interpretation of this notice as if it were regulations within the meaning of that Act.
(1) A vehicle or combination is exempt from regulation 64 of the Vehicle and Traffic (Vehicle Operations) Regulations 2001 if it exceeds 25 tonnes gross mass and needs to access Mud Walls Secondary Road, or a road leading from that road, for the purpose of (a) being garaged at an address within the municipal area of Southern Midlands; or(b) picking up or dropping off part or all of a load at a place within that municipal area.(2) The exemption (a) applies to the exempt route; and(b) applies at all times of the day; and(c) remains in force for the period of 3 years commencing on the date on which this notice takes effect.

This notice exempts, for 3 years and for specified purposes, certain vehicles and combinations from the load limit applying to Mud Walls Secondary Road between Tea Tree Secondary Road and the Midland Highway.
