Local Government (Burnie City Council) Amendment Order 2004
I, the Administrator in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council and on the recommendation of the Minister, make the following order under section 12 of the Local Government Act 1993 .

This order may be cited as the Local Government (Burnie City Council) Amendment Order 2004 .
This order takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette.
In this order, the Local Government (Burnie City Council) Order 2002 is referred to as the Principal Order.
4. Clause 2 amended (Commencement)
Clause 2(3) of the Principal Order is amended by omitting "2004" and substituting "2005".
5. Clause 4 amended (Number of councillors for Burnie City Council)
Clause 4 of the Principal Order is amended as follows:(a) by omitting from subclause (1)(a) "October 2004" and substituting "October 2005";(b) by omitting from subclause (1)(b) "October 2004" and substituting "October 2005";(c) by omitting from subclause (2)(b) "October 2004" and substituting "October 2005".

This order amends the Local Government (Burnie City Council) Order 2002 consequent on the making of the Local Government (Elections) Order 2004 which fixed 25 October 2005 as the closing day for the next round of council elections.
