Mineral Resources Development (Fossil Site) Order 2004
I make the following order under section 163(1) of the Mineral Resources Development Act 1995 .

This order may be cited as the Mineral Resources Development (Fossil Site) Order 2004 .
This order takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette.
The area specified in Schedule 1 to this order is declared to be a fossil site.
SCHEDULE 1 - Fossil SiteAll that area comprising about 20 square kilometres in the vicinity of Christmas Hills shown hatched and bounded by a heavy black line on Plan 6533 in the Central Plan Register, a reduced copy of which is set out, by way of illustration only, in Schedule 2 to this order.
SCHEDULE 2 - Plan
Displayed and numbered in accordance with the Rules Publication Act 1953.
Notified in the Gazette on 1 September 2004
This order is administered in the Department of Infrastructure, Energy and Resources.

This order declares an area of land at Christmas Hills to be a fossil site for the purposes of the Mineral Resources Development Act 1995 .
