Public Interest Disclosures Amendment Regulations 2004

I, the Lieutenant-Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Public Interest Disclosures Act 2002 .

1.   Short title

These regulations may be cited as the Public Interest Disclosures Amendment Regulations 2004 .

2.   Commencement

These regulations take effect on the day on which their making is notified in the Gazette.

3.   Principal Regulations

In these regulations, the Public Interest Disclosures Regulations 2003 are referred to as the Principal Regulations.

4.    Regulation 10 amended (Prescribed offices for purpose of section 41 of Act)

Regulation 10 of the Principal Regulations is amended as follows:
(a) by omitting from paragraph (b) " section 18 of the Environmental Management and Pollution Control Act 1994 ." and substituting " section 18 of the Environmental Management and Pollution Control Act 1994 ;";
(b) by inserting the following paragraph after paragraph (b) :
(c) the office of Health Complaints Commissioner referred to in section 5 of the Health Complaints Act 1995 .

These regulations amend the Public Interest Disclosures Regulations 2003 by prescribing the office of Health Complaints Commissioner for the purpose of section 41 of the Public Interest Disclosures Act 2002 .
