Crown Lands Amendment Regulations 2004
I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under Crown Lands Act 1976 .

These regulations may be cited as the Crown Lands Amendment Regulations 2004 .
These regulations take effect on the day on which their making is notified in the Gazette.
In these regulations, the Crown Lands Regulations 2001 are referred to as the Principal Regulations.
4. Regulations 30 and 31 inserted
Before regulation 32 of the Principal Regulations , the following regulations are inserted in Part 4:The prescribed fees payable in respect of the following matters are set out in Schedule 1 :(a) the transfer of land held under a contract of sale under section 25(2)(b) of the Act;(b) the assignment of a lease under section 29(7)(c) of the Act;(c) the transfer of a temporary licence under section 42(3) of the Act.31. Prescribed rate of interest
For the purposes of section 36(a)(ii) of the Act, the prescribed rate of interest is the reference lending rate most recently published by the Westpac Banking Corporation (ABN 33007457141) before the date on which the notice referred to in that section is served on the lessee.
5. Regulation 33 rescinded
Regulation 33 of the Principal Regulations is rescinded.
6. Schedule 1 amended (Prescribed fees)
Schedule 1 to the Principal Regulations is amended as follows:(a) by omitting from clause 1(a) "$60" second occurring and substituting "60 fee units";(b) by omitting from clause 1(b) "$120" and substituting "120 fee units";(c) by omitting from clause 2(a) "$60" second occurring and substituting "60 fee units";(d) by omitting from clause 2(b) "$120" and substituting "120 fee units";(e) by omitting from clause 3(a) "$60" second occurring and substituting "60 fee units";(f) by omitting from clause 3(b) "$120" and substituting "120 fee units".

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the regulation)
These regulations amend the Crown Lands Regulations 2001 by –(a) prescribing fees payable under the Crown Lands Act 1976 ; and(b) prescribing the rate of interest payable for arrears of rent on leases under that Act; and(c) rescinding a spent expiry provision.
