Vocational Education and Training Amendment Regulations 2003
I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Vocational Education and Training Act 1994 .

These regulations may be cited as the Vocational Education and Training Amendment Regulations 2003 .
These regulations take effect on the day on which the Vocational Education and Training Amendment Act 2003 commences.
In these regulations, the Vocational Education and Training Regulations 1995 are referred to as the Principal Regulations.
4. Regulation 3 amended (Interpretation)
Regulation 3 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting the definitions of block release , course , day release , training program and short course and substituting the following definitions:certificate level means a certificate of that level specified in the Australian Qualifications Framework;short course means a course that leads to a statement of attainment.
5. Regulation 5 rescinded
Regulation 5 of the Principal Regulations is rescinded.
6. Schedules 1 and 2 amended
Schedules 1 and 2 to the Principal Regulations are rescinded and the following Schedule is substituted:SCHEDULE 1 - Fees

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the regulation)
These regulations amend the Vocational Education and Training Regulations 1995 (a) consequent on the commencement of the Vocational Education and Training Amendment Act 2003 ; and(b) by removing provisions relating to travel and meal allowances that are no longer required to be prescribed; and(c) by converting the fees into fee units.
