Crown Lands (Shack Sites) Amendment Regulations 2003

I, the Lieutenant-Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Crown Lands (Shack Sites) Act 1997 .

1.   Short title

These regulations may be cited as the Crown Lands (Shack Sites) Amendment Regulations 2003 .

2.   Commencement

These regulations take effect on the day on which their making is notified in the Gazette.

3.   Principal Regulations

In these regulations, the Crown Lands (Shack Sites) Regulations 2002 are referred to as the Principal Regulations.

4.    Regulation 3 substituted

Regulation 3 of the Principal Regulations is rescinded and the following regulation is substituted:

3.   End of conversion period

For the purposes of the definition of "conversion period" in section 3(1) of the Crown Lands (Shack Sites) Act 1997 , 31 December 2004 is prescribed.

These regulations have the effect of extending the conversion period under the Crown Lands (Shack Sites) Act 1997 from 31 December 2003 to 31 December 2004.
