Proclamation under the Electricity - National Scheme (Tasmania) Act 1999

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, by this my proclamation made under section 2 of the Electricity - National Scheme (Tasmania) Act 1999  –

(a) fix 29 May 2005* as the day on which the provisions of that Act commence; and

(b) revoke the proclamation notified in the Gazette as Statutory Rules 2001, No. 159.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the proclamation)

This proclamation –

(a) fixes 29 May 2005* as the day on which the provisions of the Electricity - National Scheme (Tasmania) Act 1999 commence; and

(b) revokes the proclamation notified in the Gazette as Statutory Rules 2001, No. 159.

*The date may be changed to another date by a further proclamation made under section 2 of the Electricity - National Scheme (Tasmania) Act 1999 before 29 May 2005.
