Traffic (Offence Detection Devices) (Rescission) Regulations 2002
I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Traffic Act 1925 .

These regulations may be cited as the Traffic (Offence Detection Devices) (Rescission) Regulations 2002 .
These regulations take effect on the day on which the Traffic Offence Detection Devices (New Arrangements) Act 2002 commences.
3. Traffic (Offence Detection Devices) Regulations 2001 rescinded
The Traffic (Offence Detection Devices) Regulations 2001 are rescinded.
Displayed and numbered in accordance with the Rules Publication Act 1953.

These regulations are administered in the Department of Infrastructure, Energy and Resources.
EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the regulation)
These regulations rescind the Traffic (Offence Detection Devices) Regulations 2001 consequent on the enactment of the Traffic Offence Detection Devices (New Arrangements) Act 2002 under which provision for the operation of traffic offence detection devices was effectively transferred from the Traffic Act 1925 to the Vehicle and Traffic Act 1999. Accordingly, those regulations (which were made under the Traffic Act 1925) must be replaced by equivalent regulations under the Vehicle and Traffic Act 1999.
