Electoral Amendment Regulations 2001
I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Electoral Act 1985 .

These regulations may be cited as the Electoral Amendment Regulations 2001 .
These regulations take effect on the day on which their making is notified in the Gazette.
In these regulations, the Electoral Regulations 1985 are referred to as the Principal Regulations.
Schedule 3 to the Principal Regulations is rescinded and the following Schedule is substituted:SCHEDULE 3 - Remuneration and allowances payable to electoral officersRegulation 48
Returning officer (House of Assembly)
For duties in connection with a contested election, the conduct of the scrutiny and the completion of duties relating to persons who fail to vote

These regulations amend the Electoral Regulations 1985 by increasing the remuneration and allowances payable to electoral officers who carry out duties in relation to elections for the House of Assembly and the Legislative Council.
