Inland Fisheries (Controlled Fish) Amendment Order 2001

I make the following order under section 149 of the Inland Fisheries Act 1995 .

1.   Short title

This order may be cited as the Inland Fisheries (Controlled Fish) Amendment Order 2001 .

2.   Commencement

This order takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette.

3.   Principal Order

In this order, the Inland Fisheries (Controlled Fish) Order 1996 is referred to as the Principal Order.

4.    Clause 4 amended (Controlled fish)

Clause 4 of the Principal Order is amended as follows:

(a) by inserting the following paragraph after paragraph (b) :

(ba) Eastern gambusia (Gambusia holbrooki);

(b) by omitting from paragraph (c) "paragraph (a) or (b)" and substituting " paragraph (a) , (b) or (ba) ";

(c) by omitting from paragraph (d) "paragraph (a) or (b)" and substituting " paragraph (a) , (b) or (ba) ".

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the order)

This order declares Eastern gambusia to be controlled fish to which Division 1 of Part 8 of the Inland Fisheries Act 1995 applies.
