Environment Protection (Atmospheric Pollution) Amendment (Vehicle Standards Consequential) Regulations 2001
I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Environmental Management and Pollution Control Act 1994 .

These regulations may be cited as the Environment Protection (Atmospheric Pollution) Amendment (Vehicle Standards Consequential) Regulations 2001 .
These regulations take effect on the day on which the Vehicle and Traffic Amendment (Vehicle Standards) Act 2001 commences.
In these regulations, the Environment Protection (Atmospheric Pollution) Regulations 1974 are referred to as the Principal Regulations.
Schedule 2 to the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting clause 2.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the regulation)
These regulations amend the Environment Protection (Atmospheric Pollution) Regulations 1974 consequent on the reforms effected by the Vehicle and Traffic Amendment (Vehicle Standards) Act 2001, mainly by rescinding certain vehicle exhaust emission controls that are similar to those contained in the new (nationally consistent) vehicle standards laws.
