TAFE Tasmania Order (No. 2) 2001

I, on the recommendation of the Minister for Education, make the following order under section 39(3) of the TAFE Tasmania Act 1997 .

1.   Short title

This order may be cited as the TAFE Tasmania Order (No. 2) 2001 .

2.   Commencement

This order takes effect on 5 September 2001.

3.   Interpretation

In this order –

Act means the TAFE Tasmania Act 1997 ;

TAFE Tasmania means TAFE Tasmania established under section 5 of the Act.

4.   Exemption from State charges, taxes or duties

TAFE Tasmania is exempted from any liability to pay any State charges, taxes or duties in respect of the Crown land vested in TAFE Tasmania by virtue of the order under section 39(1) of the Act published in the Gazette on 5 September 2001.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This order exempts TAFE Tasmania from any liability to pay any State charges, taxes or duties in respect of certain Crown land transferred to, and vested in, TAFE Tasmania.
