Plumbing Amendment Regulations 2001
I, the Lieutenant-Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council and on the recommendation of the Building and Plumbing Regulations Board, make the following regulations under section 16 of the Local Government (Building and Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1993 .

These regulations may be cited as the Plumbing Amendment Regulations 2001 .
These regulations take effect on the day on which their making is notified in the Gazette.
In these regulations, the Plumbing Regulations 1994 are referred to as the Principal Regulations.
4. Schedule 3 amended (Substances excluded from sewers)
Item 2 of Schedule 3 to the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting "within the definition of" and substituting ", other than in accordance with".

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the regulation)
These regulations amend the Plumbing Regulations 1994 to make them consistent, as regards controls on the release of radioactive material into sewers, with the regulations presently in force under the Radiation Control Act 1977.
