Government Prices Oversight (MAIB Premiums) Amendment Order 2001
I make the following order under the Government Prices Oversight Act 1995 .

This order may be cited as the Government Prices Oversight (MAIB Premiums) Amendment Order 2001 .
This order takes effect on 1 July 2001.
The Acts Interpretation Act 1931 applies to the interpretation of this order as if the order were by-laws.
In this order, the Government Prices Oversight (MAIB Premiums) Order 2000 is referred to as the Principal Order.
5. Clause 8 amended (Maximum quarterly and half-yearly premiums)
Clause 8 of the Principal Order is amended as follows:(a) by omitting from subclause (1) "whole dollar, of –" and substituting "5 cents, of the following amounts:";(b) by omitting paragraph (a) from subclause (1) and substituting the following paragraph:(a) the amount calculated in accordance with the following formula:(c) by omitting from subclause (2) "whole dollar, of –" and substituting "5 cents, of the following amounts:";(d) by omitting paragraph (a) from subclause (2) and substituting the following paragraph:(a) the amount calculated in accordance with the following formula:(e) by omitting from subclause (3) "whole dollar, of –" and substituting "5 cents, of the following amounts:";(f) by omitting paragraph (a) from subclause (3) and substituting the following paragraph:(a) the amount calculated in accordance with the following formula:

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This order amends the Government Prices Oversight (MAIB Premiums) Order 2000 to correct an anomaly in the calculation of the maximum quarterly and half-yearly premiums payable to the MAIB in respect of motor vehicles.
