Wellington Park Amendment Regulations 2001
I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Wellington Park Act 1993 .

These regulations may be cited as the Wellington Park Amendment Regulations 2001 .
These regulations take effect on the day on which their making is notified in the Gazette.
In these regulations, the Wellington Park Regulations 1999 are referred to as the Principal Regulations.
4. Regulation 3 amended (Interpretation)
Regulation 3 of the Principal Regulations is amended by inserting after the definition of track the following definition:use, in relation to a bicycle, means use, take, ride, or be in charge of, a bicycle;
5. Regulation 10 amended (Restrictions on use of vehicles)
Regulation 10 of the Principal Regulations is amended as follows:(a) by omitting from subregulation (2) "vehicular";(b) by omitting from subregulation (3) "vehicular" first occurring;(c) by inserting in subregulation (3) "or bicycles" after "vehicles";(d) by omitting from subregulation (3)(a) "vehicular".
6. Regulation 10A inserted
After regulation 10 of the Principal Regulations , the following regulation is inserted in Division 3:(1) The Trust may determine that a track is a track suitable for use by a bicycle.(2) A person must not use a bicycle in Wellington Park otherwise than on any –(a) road; or(b) track determined suitable by the Trust under subregulation (1).Penalty: Fine not exceeding 20 penalty units.(3) A person must not use a bicycle in Wellington Park on a road or track that has been closed under subregulation 10(2) or (3).Penalty: Fine not exceeding 20 penalty units.(4) The Trust may display any sign or notice in Wellington Park relating to a prohibition or restriction on the use of bicycles in Wellington Park.
7. Regulation 11 amended (Directions relating to vehicles and bicycles)
Regulation 11 of the Principal Regulations is amended as follows:(a) by omitting from subregulation (1) "in Wellington Park not to drive on, or allow the vehicle" and substituting "or using a bicycle in Wellington Park not to drive that vehicle or use that bicycle on, or allow that vehicle or bicycle";(b) by omitting from subregulation (2) "in Wellington Park to stop the vehicle" and substituting "or using a bicycle in Wellington Park to stop the vehicle or bicycle";(c) by inserting in subregulation (2)(b) "or using the bicycle" after "driving the vehicle";(d) by inserting in subregulation (3) "or using a bicycle" after "vehicle".
