Poisons (Declared Restricted Substances) Amendment Order 2000

I make the following order under section 36 of the Poisons Act 1971 .

1.   Short title

This order may be cited as the Poisons (Declared Restricted Substances) Amendment Order 2000 .

2.   Commencement

This order takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette.

3.   Principal Order

In this order, the Poisons (Declared Restricted Substances) Order 1990 is referred to as the Principal Order.

4.    Schedule 1 amended (Substances to which section 36 of the Poisons Act 1971 applies)

Schedule 1 to the Principal Order is amended as follows:
(a) by omitting item 2 and substituting the following:

Anabolic and androgenic steroidal agents, including those separately specified in Schedule 4 of the Poisons List (S4).

(b) by inserting after item 54 the following:

54A. 

Somatropin (human growth hormone).

Displayed and numbered in accordance with the Rules Publication Act 1953.

This order is administered in the Department of Health and Human Services.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the order)

This order amends the Poisons (Declared Restricted Substances) Order 1990 by adding androgenic steroidal agents and somatropin (human growth hormone) to the list of restricted substances to which section 36 of the Poisons Act 1971 applies.
