Litter Regulations 2000

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Litter Act 1973 .

1.   Short title

These regulations may be cited as the Litter Regulations 2000 .

2.   Commencement

These regulations take effect on the day on which their making is notified in the Gazette.

3.   Interpretation

In these regulations,

Act means Litter Act 1973 .

4.   Forms

(1)  For the purposes of section 3(3) of the Act, the evidence of authority is to be in accordance with Form 1 of Schedule 1 .

(2)  For the purposes of section 5(1) of the Act, the notice of contravention is to be in accordance with Form 2 of Schedule 1 .

5.   Rescission

The Litter Regulations 1973 are rescinded.
