Local Government (Review) Order 2000
I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council and on the recommendation of the Minister, make the following order under section 12 of the Local Government Act 1993 .

This order may be cited as the Local Government (Review) Order 2000 .
This order takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette.
The Acts Interpretation Act 1931 applies to the interpretation of this order as if it were by-laws.
4. Number of councillors for Flinders
(1) The total number of persons to be elected as councillors in the municipal area of Flinders is 7 effective from the election due to be held in October 2000.(2) The total number of persons referred to in subclause (1) is to be achieved as follows:(a) if a councillor resigns before the election due to be held in October 2000, by not holding a by-election to fill that councillor's position;(b) by reducing the number of persons to be elected as councillors at the election due to be held in October 2000 from 4 to 3;(c) by reducing the number of persons to be elected as councillors at the election due to be held in October 2002 from 5 to 4.
5. Schedule 3 to Local Government Act 1993 amended
Schedule 3 to the Local Government Act 1993 is amended by omitting the item relating to Flinders and substituting the following item:
