Weed Management Regulations 2000
I, the Lieutenant-Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Weed Management Act 1999 .

These regulations may be cited as the Weed Management Regulations 2000 .
These regulations take effect on 1 September 2000.
In these regulations,Act means the Weed Management Act 1999 .
4. Tolerance level requirements
For the purpose of section 57(2) of the Act, Schedule 1 sets out the tolerance levels for seeds in feed grain.
The following are the measures prescribed for the purpose of section 57(3) of the Act in relation to the importation of livestock that may be carrying a declared weed:(a) the length of hairs in the coat is not to exceed 25mm;(b) seeds are not to adhere to the coat or anywhere else on the livestock;(c) a permit for importation is to be obtained from the Secretary;(d) importation is direct to an approved facility for slaughter.
6. Infringement notices and penalties
(1) The offences generally described in Column 1 of Schedule 2 under the respective sections specified in Column 3 of that Schedule are prescribed as the offences under the Act in respect of which infringement notices may be issued.(2) The penalties specified in Column 2 of Schedule 2 are prescribed as the penalties payable in respect of prescribed offences to which the respective infringement notices relate.
