Noxious Weeds Order 2000

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following order under section 4 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1964 .

1.   Short title

This order may be cited as the Noxious Weeds Order 2000 .

2.   Commencement

This order takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette.

3.   Noxious and prohibited weed

The plant False Cleavers (Galium spurium) is declared to be a noxious and prohibited weed in the whole of the State.

Displayed and numbered in accordance with the Rules Publication Act 1953.

Notified in the Gazette on 7 June 2000

This order is administered in the Department of Primary Industries, Water and Environment.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the order)

This order declares False Cleavers to be a noxious and prohibited weed in the whole of the State.
