I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following order under the Ombudsman Act 1978 .

1.   Short title

This order may be cited as the Ombudsman Order 1999 .

2.   Commencement

This order takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette.

3.   Principal Act

In this order, the Ombudsman Act 1978 is referred to as the Principal Act.

4.    Schedule 1 amended (Government Departments and Other Authorities to which this Act applies)

Schedule 1 to the Principal Act is amended as follows:
(a) by omitting from item 2(b) "a controlling authority" and substituting "a single authority, controlling authority";
(b) by omitting item 4 ;
(c) by omitting from item 5 "Board" and substituting "Tribunal";
(d) by omitting item 6 and substituting the following item:
6.   Anti-Discrimination Commissioner appointed under the Anti-Discrimination Act 1998 .
(e) by omitting item 8 ;
(f) by omitting from item 10A "Assessment";
(g) by omitting items 11 and 12 ;
(h) by omitting item 16 and substituting the following item:

(j) by inserting in item 21 ", Forest Practices Board" after " section 6 of the Forestry Act 1920 ";
(k) by omitting item 22 and substituting the following items:

22.   Guardianship and Administration Board established under the Guardianship and Administration Act 1995 .
(l) by inserting in item 23 "Registration" after "Hairdressers'";
(m) by omitting items 24 and 25 and substituting the following item:
24.   Health Complaints Commissioner appointed under the Health Complaints Act 1995 .
(n) by omitting item 28 ;
(o) by inserting in item 32 "of Tasmania" after "Commission";
(p) by inserting the following item after item 32 :
