Traffic (Vehicle Loads and Dimensions) Amendment (Penalties) Regulations 1999
I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Traffic Act 1925 .

These regulations may be cited as the Traffic (Vehicle Loads and Dimensions) Amendment (Penalties) Regulations 1999 .
These regulations take effect on 1 December 1999.
In these regulations, the Traffic (Vehicle Loads and Dimensions) Regulations 1975 are referred to as the Principal Regulations.
4. Regulation 8 amended (Driving, &c., overweight vehicle prohibited)
Regulation 8(8) of the Principal Regulations is amended as follows:(a) by omitting from paragraph (a) "5 penalty units" and substituting "20 penalty units";(b) by omitting from paragraph (b) "10 penalty units" and substituting "40 penalty units".
5. Regulation 16 amended (Road signs)
(1) Regulation 16(6) of the Principal Regulations is amended as follows:(a) by omitting from paragraph (a) "5 penalty units" and substituting "20 penalty units";(b) by omitting from paragraph (b) "10 penalty units" and substituting "40 penalty units".(2) Regulation 16(7) of the Principal Regulations is amended as follows:(a) by omitting from paragraph (a) "0.2 penalty unit" and substituting "0.4 penalty unit";(b) by omitting from paragraph (b) "0.5 penalty unit" and substituting "one penalty unit".
6. Regulation 20 amended (Offences and penalties)
Regulation 20 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting "2 penalty units" and substituting "20 penalty units".
