Traffic (General and Local) Amendment (Penalties) Regulations 1999
I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Traffic Act 1925 .

These regulations may be cited as the Traffic (General and Local) Amendment (Penalties) Regulations 1999 .
These regulations take effect on 1 December 1999.
3. Regulation 36 amended (Offences and penalties)
Regulation 36 of the Traffic (General and Local) Regulations 1956 is amended by omitting "5 penalty units" and substituting "20 penalty units".

These regulations increase the maximum penalty that may be imposed for an offence under the Traffic (General and Local) Regulations 1956 .
